Weekend Project

Long time no post. Sorry guys but I have been keeping myself very busy lately. I'll post more about that later this week.

This weekend we finally broke down and built the kids a playhouse in the back yard. We had lots of help from family and friends, and the weather cooperated and it was spectacular. We are all sun-burnt and tired and happy.

As you can probably tell from the pictures, Zboy keeps us on our toes. He thinks his a big kid and wants to climb up the ladder, dance on top of the picnic table, and swing on the BIG swings. He also has the tendency to make a break for the street any time you take your eyes off him for a moment. The fence is our NEXT project!

Please take particular notice of my Princess doing such daring things as crossing the monkey bars, climbing the rock wall, and hanging up-side-down on the bar swing. Normal kid things yes? We despaired of ever seeing her do things like this. This is the child who for the first 7.5 years of her life would watch kids doing things like this and then turn to us and say "That doesn't look very safe." She actually has two scraped up knees and elbows! I never thought I'd live to see the day!

Princess also seems to be sporting a new 'do--very charming!

You are so nice to your children--the house we bought has beautiful landscaping and we can't imagine adding aplay structure to it. We have a park close by, and we're there almost daily, but swinging in the backyard? I think that would make Astrid Meklit's dreams come true! Have Fun!

Have you really lost 17.5 lbs?? Wow!! You are amazing!!! Losing weight it hard, really hard.

Looks like the kids are having fun in the backyard!
