Dinner conversation
Princess: What’s a scholarship?
Me: That’s when students can win money to help them pay for college.
Princess: Why do they have to pay? Do you have to pay for my school?
Me: We don't have to pay for you to go to school, that is paid for by the government, college has to be paid for by the student or her parents. It can be very expensive.
Z-Man: That’s why people like to win money to help them pay for it.
Princess: Well…you don’t have to go to college, right?
Me: No, but it’s a good idea. If you want to be a teacher you have to go to college.
Princess: What about if you’re a waitress?
Me: You don’t need to go to college to be a waitress, though lots of waitresses are going to college.
Princess: Good! I’m going to be a waitress so I can stay home and always live with you and daddy.
Me: Well, that’s …..nice.

Hi Carrie,
Very cute. Our 6 year old now plans to buy a house next door to us when she grows up instead of staying home forever. She hopes to be an artist, but doesn't want to sell any artwork because it would be "too much work" to make it all again. :) However, she hopes to adopt at least 6 kids. All girls, of course. Sees no need for a husband. Ha ha!! If only life were so easy! Kids are so fun. Good luck with that dossier! (By the way, I used the color copier at Kinkos for the birth certficiates, except for 1 original for the dossier, and an original on file. For us, that was fine.)
oh my! :)
Too funny! She probably thought that is what you wanted to hear!
How funny! Very sweet, though.
