My name is Carrie and my husband is Z-man. We have been married for 17 wonderful years and we have two amazing daughters, Princess (12) and Cookie (9) plus one adorable son, Zboy (5) who came home from Ethiopia in September 2007. Though our adoption journey has ended, our parenting adventures continue, so please sit back, grab a cup of tea, and join us on this wild and amazing ride!
Oh geez! Get out the calamine lotion. I hope they are not too itchy. I am surprised they got it. I always thought that you weren't contagious once the pox came out, only seven days before they appeared.
Oh no! We'll be praying that it's a quick and (relatively) easy case! On the bright side...at least this way you'll have it out of the way and the girls won't need the chicken pox shots for school! :)
Ugh. I'm with Elle though. Best that they both have it at the same time -- it's like ripping off the band-aid fast. Also, I'm someone who had chicken pox at age 24... it's so much better to have them as a child. I almost landed in the hospital my temperature spiked so drastically.
Wow, they sure have a good case of them! When my daughter came down with the Chicken Pox, we had a "chicken party". We rented 'Chicken Little', ate chicken crackers with popcorn chicken and played chicken limbo. It took her mind off of the itching for a while and she still laughs about it now!
I am sorry to hear about the chicken pox running through your house. I hope you all start feelign better soon. I wanted to let you know that I have not sent the package to you- I decided that the girls needed something too. So my secret blog pal package will go out Monday- Love to you, Deb AKA Momma Bug and your secret blog pal. www.lifewithlittlebug.blogspot.com
I'm so sorry -- not exactly what you all need right now!
Having them when you're younger can have a silver lining, though. I had chicken pox when I was 14, and I had them in my throat, my ears, on my gums, in other unmentionable places...it was so uncomfortable. So hopefully their cases will be a bit milder!
Hope everyone is on the mend very, very soon. Thinking of you!
