It's time for action!

You may remember Dawn's story from my earlier posts here and here. She and her family have been through hell and now have lost all hope of bringing their son home due to a corrupt adoption agency. Now Dawn is asking all of us to take a stand and help them in their fight to get their adoption money back.

This is the end of the road for us. I am going to leave this blog open as a sort of memorial to our sons.

WE NEED YOUR HELP:

A simple e-mail from hundreds of people to Orson would certainly get his attention. Please, would you assist by sending an e-mail to Orson stating how appalled you are by our case and that the right thing to do would be to refund our money. Of course, if Orson does not voluntarily do this we will take him to court, but we have been through enough already.

Orson's e-mail is: info@adoptaip.com and if you would kindly cc Kevin as well at kevin@adoptaip.com. Thank you so much for your help.

I wish all of you the best on your journey to your chosen children! For those of you home with your baby...thank God for your precious one each and every day and never forget the gift and true miracle you have been blessed with.

Dawn & Joe

Here is my email, edited from the form letter that Lauren and Marco designed.

To Orson Mozes, AIP, and all characters involved in the Delorenzo Failed Adoption:

My name is Carrie and as someone in the process of international adoption I am a frequent reader of fellow adoptive parents' blogs. I have been following the Delorenzo families adoption journey for the last year and have offered such comfort and support as I could with the unprecedented ups and downs of their journey. You should know that this families story is being heard by hundreds of people from all over the world. I have posted links to their blog many times asking for prayers and support to be sent to them.

As someone deeply sympathetic to the plight of the Delorenzo's story, I wanted to take a moment to inform you the Delorenzo's are being heard through the internet, media, and word of mouth with deep compassion. The lack of ethics, morals, and poor business practices your company has shown will not be tolerated. As a group, the international adoption community will continue to post and pass the word to new families that you are a corrupt organization who cares more for money then the welfare of children in need of families. We will tell them to beware of your photolistings, large upfront fees, and failure to complete adoptions in a successful manner.

I urge you to come forward and do the right thing by the Delorenzo's and return all monies paid to you and your company immediately so this couple at least has a chance of building a family with a reputable agency. Without these funds their dream of parenthood, something they have paid dearly for, is lost.

This story, the pain the Delorenzo's, and the reputation of AIP will continue until there is a resolution that is satisfactory to this family. I stand firm with all Families in the International Arena! We will not let this travesty continue!!

I urge all of you to please send in a letter of support for Dawn and Joe. You are welcome to use either the form letter listed, my letter, or create one of your own. It will only take a few minutes and it may make all the difference for this family. If you have a blog, please consider posting a link about this on your site to spread the word globally that this company is corrupt and spare other families the heartache the Delorenzo's have endured.
